Courses Plus is one of the best apps on Shopify App Store when it comes to online courses and coaching programs. It allows you to create, manage, and sell education to your audience. Each course can have multiple lessons, and each lesson can contain media files like videos and images. You can even run a live lessons (i.e., webinars). If you upgrade to one of the premium plans, you can take advantage of content dripping (i.e., making lessons available on a specific dates).
At the end of each lesson, subscribers can take an exam or quiz to test their knowledge on the subject. On the successful completion, you can issue them a nice PDF certificate with customized design (paid plan only). Courses can be free, private (invitation only), public, or paid via one-time fee or subscription.
Technically, the app creates a platform layer above your product catalog with relevant options, and each course is a unique product in the Shopify product catalog. It also offers a storage space (unlimited in paid plan) from which members can download the course materials.
What's also great, is the free subscription which is limited by 5 lessons, but still allows you to have unlimited lessons in draft mode. It doesn't come with advanced features like storage, drip content, certificates, subscription, etc., but it will do a solid job. The premium plan start at $29.99 per month (basic) and the unlimited enterprise plan is $199.99 per month. The app quality was confirmed by Shopify in July 2023 as it now has the infamous "Built for Shopify" badge.
