Hex is a great solution for transfering your Shopify store into simple mobile app for both iOS and Android devices. The main benefit is the simplicity as Hex is using a simple (clean) template which allows you to customize the branding and basic design elements. You can also add a dark mode.
The launch is pretty straightforward and you need to upload a logo, select your main color, and choose which categories you want to offer inside the mobile app. You can also select one of the 13 languages for the custom content inside the app. Once you are done, the Hex team will take care of everything and you can expect to have the mobile app available on the app stores within a week.
The app supports integration with Google Autocomplete, Route, and Klaviyo (coming soon). Using push notifications you can promote a specific product or collection. Customers are automatically reminded if they abandon checkout.
Once the store is live, you can monitor the performance using the app-based analytics. There are some useful information like most visited products, traffic split by device (i.e., iOS vs. Android), or country breakdown. Unfortunately, you can't pick any specific dates and see the metric on the chart.
You can install the app for free and preview the mobile version. In order to publish it you need to upgrade to premium plan which currently starts at $20 per month. That's a pretty good deal considering other app builders are typically priced in hundreds of dollars.
