Shopify Flow is a tool for merchants that was built by the Shopify team. Using the app, you can build workflows (automations) that help you to minimize manual work on your store.
The workflows are built using so-called triggers (i.e., when), actions (i.e., what), and conditional logic (i.e., if) in a low-code editor. Other third-party apps can integrate with Flow as well, which creates a powerful combination, giving you a lot of possibilities.
If you are unsure how to build the workflow, you can take advantage of the templates. There are over 100 templates, and the most popular ones include:
- Get notified by e-mail when product variant inventory is low
- Payment Reminder sent after the due date
- Hide and republish products based on inventory level
In our experience, every store should have the Flow installed as it doesn't cost anything and doesn't slow your storefront at all.
The only drawback is that understanding the workflows requires some technical thinking (hence only the rating of 3.7 stars). Hopefully, this will be resolved once Shopify Magic is part of the flow builder, so you can just "say" what you want to achieve, and the AI will take care of the technical part.
