How does the GMV promotion work
For every sale, you will get 1% to your account in the form of Shopify credits. Credits can be used for Shopify subscription payments only (not for apps!) for the first 6 months. Effectively, you can get Shopify for free for 6 months.
For example, if your sales in the first month are $10,000, you will get $100 in your account. Unused credits will be transferred to your next billing cycle.
All Shopify plans, except Shopify Plus, are eligible to be part of the GMV promotion, but the credit limits are different:
- Shopify Basic plan can earn up to $5,000 in credits
- Shopify Standard and Retail plans can earn up to $7,500 in credits
- Shopify Advanced plan can earn up to $10,000 in credits
