Yotpo allows you to automatically send review requests to past and future shoppers. You can easily edit the email content in the first step of the app configuration settings. Next, you will be asked to customize the reviews widget, so you can choose how the reviews will appear on your Shopify store. The reviews will be shown right on the product pages and you are free to customize the reviews to match the look and overall feel of your brand.
For non-technical people it might seem complicated to integrate the app into a theme, however, if you follow the instruction you can implement that very easily, otherwise you can send the message to the app provider support team to help you with it.
The app is not embedded into the Shopify administrative system, however, the app's UI is very clear and straightforward. There are 6 main sections in the Yotpo administrative system - "home", which summarizes key metrics and gives recommendations on how you can improve the performance, "manage content", where you can see and moderate the review content, "analytics" that measures the number of reviews, average stars rating and conversions, "collect reviews", where you can edit email for review requests, "display reviews", where you can set the appearance of the reviews and finally "social and apps" where you can work on integrations.
Yotpo has a free plan available, however, if you want to have a photo review or offer your customer a discount in exchange for a review, you would have to upgrade at the list to a growth plan which starts from $15/month and increases based on the monthly number of orders that your store has.
