At the beginning of this year, we started a cooperation with the Home of St. Agnes (Domov Sv. Anežky) – to be referred to as "Anezka" in this text from this point.

Anezka is a local non-profit organization dedicated to assisting individuals with mental and physical disabilities lead fulfilling lives. Among many other things, they run social businesses and social-therapeutic workshops. And then selling the produced goods online through their e-commerce store. The profit helps them to keep the organization running.

At Digismoothie, we have decided to help Anezka by building a brand-new online store and launching marketing campaigns to support it. Considering giving back is one of our core values, and e-commerce is our primary domain, it immediately felt like a perfect match.

But the online world is not the only area where we are helping! In May, we also helped with some of the "offline stuff" and, more importantly, met some of their amazing members.

New Shopify store

We knew that in order to take their e-commerce to another level, we needed to build a new store. The new store was born in June and came with many optimizations, including:

  • Modern and mobile-friendly design and UX
  • Memorable domain name naseanezka.cz
  • Much more flexibility and self-management capabilities thanks to Shopify Theme 2.0
  • Optimized PDPs personalized for each product category
  • Professional pictures of the offered inventory
  • Ability to donate during the checkout
  • Many minor CRO improvements and updates

Performance marketing management

After having a beautiful and optimized store, we started working on marketing campaigns. We are now testing the first batch of ads on Meta promoting the wool products category.

The initial ad performance looks good, and we are now working on other product categories.

The next steps to fulfill 100% sustainability and independence

Our mission is to make Anezka 100% independent and sustainable. Meaning they will be able to run their organization solely from the profits they generate via the online store. We know we are at the beginning but are motivated to succeed and set an example for others.

The priority at the moment is the expansion and optimization of the ad campaigns. Once "done," we will move to e-mail marketing and brand identity.

And of course, we are not forgetting the manual work, which is important as well. We plan our next company off-site to be at Anezka, so we can also use our hands, not just our heads.
